How long does it take to have custom closets installed?
Custom Closets are usually installed within four to six days of your free, in-home consultation.

A 70 inch closet unit with double hanging on one side and tall hanging on the other goes for about $235.00. The same closet sold with upgrades, including drawers with full extension glides, a jewelry tray in the top drawer with a lock and brass hardware, cherry finish instead of white, brass laundry basket with canvas liner, slanted shoe shelves with brass rails on the front can cost around $2000.00. The most important thing to remember is that the units are custom designed to meet both your needs and your budget.
How quickly can you provide an estimate?
Your in-home consultation is usually provided within 48 hours of your call or inquiry. When owner Tom Ferri arrives, he brings a notebook computer equipped with special software to both help you visualize your new custom closet and provide an estimate on the spot. The estimate can be emailed to you or printed on a portable printer. You can even use your charge card to order your closet organizer system immediately.
How soon can you install?
From the time materials are ordered, (which can be done as early as during your in-home consultation) it is usually 4 to 6 days before the work is completed. We schedule a time at your convenience, and many installations take only a single day.
Are there any hidden costs?
No. We take down any old hardware and dispose of it for our customers. All metal is recycled. Cardboard packaging is taken away and recycled. All holes left behind by old closet hardware are patched. If your new closet organizers are being installed in a new home or newly constructed rooms, where no old system needs to be replaced, Tom Ferri’s Closet Make-Overs provides a 5% discount!
Will you remove the old closet hardware?
Old hardware is removed and disposed of. Much of it recycled where possible. Holes from old hardware are patched.
Do you paint over patched surfaces?
No. Painting is one service that we do not provide. However, most patched areas where old closet hardware has been removed will be hidden by your new closet organizer system.
For how long is a custom closet organizer guaranteed?
Your new custom closet organizer system is guaranteed for as long as you own your home. Click the following link to read our Limited Warranty.
Is a closet organizer system from Tom Ferri’s Closet Make-Overs adjustable?
Yes. A section of full shelving features 7 shelves, including shoe shelves. The top shelf, middle shelf, and the bottom shelf are locked in place, while the rest move up and down freely.
What colors are available for my closet organizer system?
The closets come in seven distinct finishes: White, ivory, maple, chestnut, cherry, candlelight and captiva. This comprehensive set of finish selections can match almost anything you desire.
How much weight can your custom closet shelves hold?
The shelving used in our closet organizers is ¾ inches thick. An eight foot section of shelving is rated at 1,200 lbs.
Are you a member of the Better Business Bureau?
Tom Ferri’s Closet Make-Overs is a member in good standing with the Better Business Bureau.
Once my organizing system is installed, will you help me put the contents back in it?

History of Tom Ferri’s Closet Make-Overs
Tom Ferri’s Closet Make-Overs began in 2003, serving the Pittsburgh area with affordable custom closet designs. Tom learned the value of hard work as young man while working in his family’s business. In 2001, Tom started a home make-over business of his own, including the installation of luxury decks. He quickly noticed that many of his projects were seasonal and that winter provided the slowest months of all. Now that Tom’s business is focused on custom closets, he is busy year round providing a quality product with a wide appeal. Tom Ferri grew up in Murrysville and currently resides in Export with his wife Laura.

Limited Warranty
Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, Tom Ferri’s Closet Make-Overs warrants to the Home Owner only that the Tom Ferri’s Closet Make-Overs Products sold to Home Owner hereunder shall be free of defects in material and workmanship for as long as the Home Owner for whom Tom Ferri’s Closet Make-Overs installed the Product lives in his or her home. Tom Ferri’s Closet Make-Overs’ sole liability and home owner’s exclusive remedy for breach of this limited warranty shall be, at Tom Ferri’s Closet Make-Overs’ sole option, credit or replacement of the nonconforming Tom Ferri’s Closet Make-Overs product. This limited warranty shall be null and void and shall not apply to any Tom Ferri’s Closet Make-Overs product that is damaged as a result of, misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, water damage, fire, and acts of God.
